Objective
The Government aims to facilitate taxpayers’ access to departmental services in their native languages, encompassing functions like e-Verify Return, Aadhaar Status linkage, PAN verification, Income Tax Status checks, and additional services.
Challenge
This was an undertaking of a pioneer initiative within the Government of India, where Reverie was handed the challenge to localize and manage a vast and intricate volume of content within the taxation domain.
Since the content is dynamic, continually adapting to rule changes made, this project became an even greater challenge. We at Reverie took on the task of translating such content to cater specifically to native language users, considering the complexity of the domain.

Translation Management platform (Prabandhak) for vetting of translations by 50+ department personnel- Implemented
The solution offered was to cater to native language users across 22 languages listed in Schedule 8 of the Indian Constitution. Reverie facilitated manual translation services and introduced a robust Translation Management platform, ‘Prabandhak,’ involving over 50 personnel for translation vetting.

It streamlined communication via SMS/Email localisation and enhanced accessibility through Indic keypad, transliteration, and multilingual search. Taxpayers experienced enhanced convenience and ease in interacting with the department, now able to navigate and utilize services seamlessly in their preferred languages. The Translation Management platform, ‘Prabandhak,’ fortified with vetting by department personnel, ensured accuracy and reliability in translated content. This comprehensive localisation effort not only improved user experience but also bolstered compliance and engagement, marking a pioneering stride toward inclusive, dynamic, and user-centric taxation services in India.
